Library Content Policy

Collection purpose

Langa Library aims to support reading, discovery, study, preservation, and cross-language access.

The collection should develop with attention to provenance, metadata quality, rights status, public value, and reader safety.

Eligible content

  • Public domain works.
  • Licensed or rights-cleared works.
  • Metadata and catalog records used for discovery.
  • Community contributions that meet rights and quality standards.
  • Archival or educational materials where legally permitted.

Restricted content

  • Clearly infringing materials.
  • Malicious or deceptive files.
  • Non-consensual personal data collections.
  • Content requiring safeguards that Langa Library does not yet support.
  • Materials whose rights status, provenance, or safety concerns require review before access.

Corrections and quality

Metadata may be incomplete or incorrect. Langa Library may accept corrections for title, author, language, tags, description, identity matching, rights status, and collection notes.

Correction is part of responsible library maintenance. Langa Library may update records as better information becomes available.
