Purpose of this center

Langa Library maintains this Trust & Policy Center to make its operating principles visible to readers, contributors, rights holders, browser extension reviewers, and future institutional partners.

A digital library is not only a collection of files. It is also a public system of access, responsibility, preservation, correction, attribution, and care. These pages describe the standards by which Langa Library intends to operate.

Foundational commitments

Langa Library preserves the integrity of original source texts and does not silently alter original works through reading or translation tools.
Translation assistance is presented as assistance for reading and study, not as an automatic public translated edition.
Public publication of translated or contributed material requires rights review, attribution where required, and quality review.
Reader privacy, user control, and clear disclosure are essential to the service.
